Prof. Dato’ Dr. Harikrishna K.Ragavan Nair MD | PhD
Prof. Dato’ Dr. Harikrishna K.Ragavan Nair is the president of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies and leads as the director of Kuala Lumpur General Hospital, Malaysia.
Prof. Dato' Dr. Harikrishna's journey to becoming a leading figure in wound care began with his MD from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 1998. He further honed his skills with an MSc in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair in the United Kingdom, and a PhD in Medical Sciences and Wound Management at Lincoln University College. This academic foundation, combined with his extensive professional experience, has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of wound care and management.
Prof. Dato’ Dr. Harikrishna is not just a leader in wound care but a pioneer. He founded the Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals (MSWCP) and established the first Diabetic Foot Care Unit at Kuala Lumpur Hospital. He serves as the national advisor on wound care at the Ministry of Health. His leadership is further demonstrated through his chairmanship of the Pressure Injury Prevention Committee, presidency of the Malaysian Biotherapy Society, and advisory role as the wound care coordinator and vice chairman of the National Technical Committee on Wound Management Ministry of Health Malaysia. He shares his knowledge as a visiting professor at various institutions, including the Faculty of Medicine at Lincoln University and the Institute of Health Management in Austria.
His outreach extends to providing wound management support for local and international disaster management. Moreover, he received multiple awards globally, including the World Health Organisation Dr. Lee Jon Wok Public Health Award in 2018 with Dr. Nazni (IMR) and the Gold Award of JWC/WUWHS (Journal of Wound Care / World Union of Wound Healing Societies).

Prof. Dr. Pornprom Muangman MD | PhD
Prof. Dr. Pornprom Muangman is a professor of surgery and chief of the Burn Unit, Division of Traumatology, as well as the chairman of the Research and Scientific Program, and program director of Postgraduate Surgical Training at the Department of Surgery within Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand.
Prof. Dr. Pornprom completed his fellowship at the American College of Surgeons and International College of Surgeons (FICS) and as a burn fellow at the University of Washington Burn Centre. His National Institute of Health (NIH) postdoctoral fellowship in Trauma Harborview Medical Center further deepened his expertise in managing trauma and burn injuries. This solid academic background and extensive hands-on experience have given him a thorough understanding of burn surgery, trauma surgery, nutrition, wound healing, and tissue engineering.
Prof. Dr. Pornprom is the scientific chairman of the Surgical Association of Thailand and the Thai Society of Burn and Wound Healing. Additionally, he serves on the Thai Society of Burn Injuries board and the board of scientific committee of the Thai Association of Trauma Surgery and the International College of Surgeons. His impact extends beyond clinical practice to include significant contributions to research and surgical education, solidifying his status as a leading expert in burn and trauma surgery.

Prof. Dr. Yan Liu MD | PhD
Prof. Dr. Yan Liu is a Doctor of Medicine and holds the position of a doctoral supervisor.
Her experience and passion in burn injuries has enabled her to lead and guide as the Director of burn and plastic surgery department of Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University. She has a keen interest in research and holds the position of research Deputy director of Shanghai Burn Research Institute. Her clinical expertise is in the areas of critical burn treatment, pediatric burn treatment, and various wound treatment.
She is the chief editor monograph of "Burn Wound Repair" (second edition), "Burn Infection", deputy chief translator "Burn Therapeutics" (fifth edition) and the deputy editor-in-chief of the Journal of "Tissue Engineering and Repair, and Reconstruction Surgery", standing editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of "Burn", and editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of "Injury and Repair".
She advocates and is involved in various burn associations:

Kerrie Coleman RN | MSc
Kerrie Coleman is a registered nurse specialising in wound management and founder of All Wrapped Up Nursing Consultative Service and consultant at the Skin Integrity Service at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital.
Her academic achievements include a Master's degree in Wound Care and Nurse Practitioner Chronic Disease.
Kerrie’s career spans over four decades in nursing, with approximately 35 years dedicated to wound care. In addition, her experience is primarily rooted in tertiary hospitals across New South Wales and Queensland, where she managed outpatient wound clinics and provided inpatient consultations for the Metro North Health Service District and across Queensland. Her expertise and dedication have been pivotal in enhancing patient care and advancing the field of wound management. Kerrie’s contributions to the field extend beyond clinical practice. She lectures at various universities and actively participates in continuous education programs.
Kerrie's commitment to education and clinical excellence has been recognised with the prestigious Ian McFarlane Award for nursing excellence in clinical education and clinical practice, which she received astonishingly in 2012 and 2016. Kerrie has contributed to significant research projects. Her research interests include lower leg compression, the impact of heat on wound healing, and the intimate challenges of living with chronic wounds, as well as pressure injuries, lower leg ulcers, and innovative wound treatment-related research projects.
Kerrie's significant contribution to the wound faculty is through her book "Wound Care: A Practical Guide for Maintaining Skin Integrity," a professional guide that is a valuable resource for healthcare providers in managing wound care effectively.
